Participation in 73th All-India Ophthalmological Conference, 5-8 February, New Delhi.


2.JPGThe Head of Scientific and Research Department, Doctor of Medical Science A. Babushkin participated the 73th All-India Ophthalmological Conference that was held on 5-8 February in New Delhi. There were more than 9 000 participants. Russian delegation included ophthalmologists from Ufa, Moscow, Orenburg, Krasnodar, Astrakhan and other cities. The following issues were discussed: cataract and refractive surgery, vitreoretinal and laser surgery, keratoplasty, anti-VEGF therapy of macular edema, glaucoma, immunodepressive therapy of uveitis, infectious keratitis and enthophthalmia treatment, neuroophthalmology, heterotropy, etc. Within the framework of the conference national symposia on glaucoma and diabetes  and a special session on ophthalmic surgical armaments were held. During 4 days ophthalmologists could take Wetlab courses. At a special session the best oral and poster presentations were awarded prizes. The conference also included large exhibition of ophthalmic equipment, instruments and drugs from largest manufacturers. Participants could also go on a sightseeing tour to Delhi, Agra and Jaipur.
